Insurance & Fees
Simple, upfront about cost.
You should know what therapy will cost before you ever sit down for your first session. Here is exactly what we accept and what to expect.

When you fill out our new client form, we verify your benefits for you before your first appointment, so there is no insurance homework on your end. If you do not see your plan here, reach out and we will talk through your options.
Many of our clients pay a copay of around $20 per session, and for some plans therapy is fully covered, especially once your deductible is met. Because every plan is different, we check your exact benefits for you before your first session, so you always know what to expect.

Many clients use insurance, and your out-of-pocket cost depends on your specific plan. Private pay gives you more privacy and more control over your care, without a diagnosis on your permanent record.
How do I find out what I will owe?
We verify your benefits for you, so in most cases you do not have to make any calls. If you want to check yourself, call the number on the back of your insurance card and ask: Do I have mental health benefits? What is my coverage per therapy session? What is my copay or coinsurance? What is my deductible, and has it been met? Does my plan cover telehealth?
What if you are not in-network with my plan?
If we are not in-network with your insurance, you may still be able to get reimbursed for part of the cost through your out-of-network benefits. In that case, you would pay our private pay rate at the time of your session, and we provide a superbill, which is an itemized receipt you can submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement.
To find out what your plan offers, call the number on your insurance card and ask: Do I have out-of-network outpatient mental health benefits? What percentage of the cost is reimbursed? Do I have an out-of-network deductible, and has it been met? How do I submit a superbill for reimbursement?
What payment methods do you accept?
We keep a credit or debit card on file for all clients. You are welcome to put an FSA or HSA card on file for copays and deductibles, though we still need an active credit or debit card on file to cover any late cancellation or no-show fees, or anything your HSA or FSA denies.
What about cancellations?
We ask for 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule. Late cancellations and no-shows are charged a $100 fee, which is not covered by insurance. Life happens, so reach out as early as you can and we will always do our best to work with you.
A quick word on deductibles and copays.
A deductible is what you pay for services before insurance starts contributing. A copay is a set amount you pay per session. Coinsurance is a percentage you are responsible for once a service is covered. If any of this feels confusing, our billing team is happy to walk you through your specific plan.
